Mark Ruffalo Began Shooting The Avengers 2; Teases Betty Ross Appearance
With set images and video out of South Africa revealing the Hulk on a rampage for what might be the beginning scenes of The Avengers 2, Mark Ruffalo now lets it be known that he has already begun filming for the role as well.
Speaking with Vulture, Ruffalo lets it be known that the motion-capture work for the Hulk has already begun.
"I actually already shot a lot of that stuff, we did it on motion capture, so we did a lot of that on a stage. So they’re doing all the [background] plates for that now in South Africa, and then I start work in mid-April," he said.
Ruffalo also mentioned that they will be doing a lot of close-ups for Scarlett Johansson, who is four months pregnant, and Ruffalo teased more one-on-one scenes with Robert Downey Jr.
"I'm guessing you will," Ruffalo offered.
Mark Ruffalo also hinted that his character, Bruce Banner, might be having a love interest in The Avengers 2. While Ruffalo doesn't state it's Betty Ross, last played by Liv Tyler in the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie, a love interest seems a strong possibility nonetheless.
"That may or may not be true," Ruffalo teased.
"The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" hits May 1, 2015 directed by Joss Whedon starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeh Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver with James Spader as Ultron.
