Fox Studios has picked up Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu's Superior comic book for the big screen.

THR has it that Matthew Vaughn is on board as the producer, and that Fox is searching for a writer to adapt the project.

Millar's Superior is a take on Superman, but with a twist. Superior sees a boy with multiple sclerosis get his wished granted by a cosmic monkey that gives him super powers (similar to Superman); however, the monkey is actually a demon and wants the boy's soul in exchange.

Mark Millar is known for Kick-Ass and Wanted as well as penning the popular Civil War Marvel Comics event and Ultimate Comics which in part inspired The Avengers movies.

Millar and Vaughn also have Secret Service coming out October 24th starring Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Firth, Michael Caine and Sofia Boutella.
