Man of Steel Writer David Goyer Says Superman's Time Is Now (Video)
Superstar writer David Goyer recently spoke about the new Man of Steel movie that he helped write.
Goyer, writer behind the likes of The Dark Knight Trilogy and the insanely popular Call of Duty: Black Ops II video game as well as an upcoming DC Comics event with Geoff Johns, said that when the Man of Steel debuts next June, it will be at the right time.
He also says that it was a lot harder to write for Superman compared to Batman who is a darker character lacking super powers.
I'm really proud of it. I never thought I would be doing a Superman film. I think the only possible way to top myself, or ourselves on Batman, is to tackle Superman who's kind of the Granddaddy of all the Superheroes. He's trickier; it's kind of easier doing a dark character, who doesn't have any superpowers. I'm really proud of what we have done and I can't wait for people to see it. I think the movie is going to be the right movie for the times. I'm happy that movie is going to be coming out this Summer because I think it's the kind of movie that the world needs right now. He's an unabashed hero.
Man of Steel flies into theaters June 14th, 2013 directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Superman, Michael Shannon as Zod, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Kevin Coster as Jonathan "Pa" Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha "Ma" Kent, Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick, Antje Traue as Faora and Aylet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van.
