Man of Steel Has More Action Than Any of The Dark Knight Films Say David Goyer
Warner Bros. hopes to launch a new franchise with Zack Snyder's new Man of Steel movie that is even being said to be the next "Harry Potter," for them, and we just learned that the fate of the Justice League Movie depends on Superman's success.
While audiences are familiar with the Superman mythos, perhaps Snyder and company can offer something that hasn't been done before much with films involving Superman -- a heavy action-packed movie.
We've heard how real the Man of Steel is going to be, with it being compared to Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy. Well, writer on both, David Goyer, offers up another comparison and it's in terms of action.
In the latest issue of Empire Magazine, which has a Man of Steel featured article, it's stated that, "Goyer calculates there is more action in Man of Steel than any of the Dark Knight Films, here was an exploration of what it might be like to possess superpowers."
New Superman Henry Cavill offers his own thoughts on the use of superpowers and explains that it doesn't make the film darker, but much more realistic.
"It's not a dark movie by any means," Cavill said. "Past representations of the character have been quite light... This is a more realistic view of the character, while still maintaining the very unrealistic, or potentially unrealistic features of an alien with superpowers."
The latest issue of Empire Magazine is available now.
Man of Steel flies into theaters June 14th, 2013 in IMAX 3D.
