Man of Steel Flies Past $500 Million
Zack Snyder's Man of Steel has now flown past the $500 million mark worldwide.
Man of Steel is close to $250 million for its U.S. debut, currently coming in at $248,660,000 million.
International audiences have responded favorably to the new Superman movie as well with a $271,700,000 million gross.
That brings the Man of Steel's worldwide total to a present $520.36 million.
To put the number in perspective, Superman Returns had a total gross of $391 million.
Man of Steel is also creeping up on Iron Man, which netted $585,174,222, with the new Superman's international sales already surpassing that of IM's.
Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins had a gross of $374,218,673, which Man of Steel has blown by as well.
Man of Steel is also not too far behind the recent Amazing Spider-Man reboot domestically, as Spidey netted $262 million.
Talk of a Man of Steel sequel is already underway as is mention of a Justice League movie.
Both Henry Cavill and writer David Goyer are said to be signed on for 3-picture deals.
