Magic: The Gathering Movie Announced From Simon Kinberg & Fox

Fox Studios is bringing Magic: The Gathering to the big screen with Simon Kinberg on as producer who will be behind the building of a new franchise.

Kinberg, who is also overseeing movie universes for Fox's X-Men and Fantastic Four properties, is said to be overseeing Magic: The Gathering alongside the Hasbro executives (via THR).

Magic: The Gathering is the insanely popular card game created in 1993 that has branched out into every form of entertainment including PCs and gaming consoles.

Created by Wizards of the Coast, the creators didn't even have an office until a year later.
