Lynda Carter, Wonder Woman for three seasons on TV from 1975-1979, offers her thoughts on Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman.

Carter says she isn't really worried about the new actress, Gal Gadot, as she is "in her corner," but says, "I just hope they write well for her!"

"I'm very hopeful she embodies the essence of Wonder Woman," Carter told Huff Post. "It's less about super powers and more about heart and intellect and a sense of right and wrong with a goodness in her. Often times, writers really want to take a male superhero and dress him up as a female - and that's just not who she is."

Maybe Lynda Carter has watched the recent Warner Bros. animated series Justice League: Flashpoint and Justice League: War - we don't know - but she says Wonder Woman shouldn't be mean.

"I'm saying they make Wonder Woman a macho Superman type character -- they make her mean -- and that's not who she is."

The untitled "Batman Vs Superman" has a newly announced May 6, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto.
