Loki's Favorite Super Hero Is Christophe Reeve Superman; Tom Hiddleston Talks Super Powers
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:3059:]]The Avengers Blu-Ray DVD is out on September 25th which saw the diabolical Loki attempt to decimate planet Earth.
While promoting the release, actor Tom Hiddleston mentioned his favorite super hero as well as the super power he would most want to have.
"As a kid, I loved Superman," Tom Hiddleston told SFX Magazine (via MTV). "For me, Christopher Reeve as Superman was the first superhero. I sat smack-bang in the middle of the audience for that movie. I was the right age at the right time, and I spent a lot of my childhood playing Superman games in the playground."
While Tom Hiddleston stated how he loved Supeman, his favorite powers do not go hand-in-hand with the Man of Steel, but something more akin to another fantastic Marvel super hero, and one that is probably a result of Hiddleston's stardom.
"I would love to have invisibility. Wouldn’t it be fascinating to be able to walk around and not be seen? You could listen into everything and look around. It would be a huge freedom to not be seen," he said.
Tom Hiddleston continues, explaining just what he would do with those powers, something more reminiscent of his character in the Marvel Studios movies with Loki.
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:3060:]]"I would go and find out the truth about things I don’t know about. I would want to go and sit in 10 Downing Street and the White House to listen to what they really say and what they really know. And then I would want to go around and play jokes on people that I know. That would be fantastic!"
Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki for Thor 2, "The Dark World," currently filming in Bourne Wood, England.
The Avengers 2 assembles May 1, 2015 with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, and the Guardians of the Galaxy movie on August 1, 2014.
