Legend Of Conan To See King Arnold In New Trilogy; Story Details Known

4409 We get an update on the new Legend of Conan movie set to star Arnold Scharzenegger as the Cimmerian barbarian coming out of Comic-Con.

The movie has previously said to be going into production next year, and we learn the writers behind the Fast and Furious are behind "King Conan" as well that it's the start of a new trilogy.

The Arnold Schwarzenegger fansite, TheArnoldFans, caught up with Fredrick Malmberg, a producer on Legend of Conan, who gave the updates as well as some details on the story.

"We're doing the script and it's by the whole Fast and the Furious team," Malmberg said. "I think if we do this right, we can do two more Conan movies right after," he continued. "I think Game of Thrones also shows a huge interest in fantasy. I'm psyched about it."

"The idea is that this takes place AFTER Conan has been king," Malmberg said about the story for Legend of Conan. "But this is the legend of Conan where he has been gone and people say, 'do you remember the good ol' days when Conan was around?' And now it's time for him to come back. In the stories and you can also see it when he's sitting on the thrown and the narration on that last scene of the movie..."with a troubled brow" ...you can tell he's not really happy being king. So, it's time for him to go out and do battle."
