It's learned at a recent Disney investors conference call that at least three Star Wars spinoff movies are in the works.

Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed the news in the conference call QnA when asked about branding their movies:

As we mentioned in earlier calls, we intend to make at least three of the Star Wars sagas, VII, VIII and IX. This should be roughly every other year. And then we are in development of spinoff films, which we've not gotten specific about, but we feel that we got at least three that we are targeting to go into production.

Iger also stated he was recently in London with J.J. Abrams for Star Wars: Episode VII and that he thinks it will be fantastic also mentioning they feel excited and great about the director, cast, script and where the franchise is heading.

Previously, Jay Rasulo, Disney's Chief Financial Officer, mentioned the Star Wars spinoffs would be origin stories, and it's rumored the movies will focus on Boba Fett, Han Solo and Yoda.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a December 18, 2015 release.
