Laurence Fishburne Talks Man of Steel 2; Not Signed On As Of Yet
Fans are sure in a hurry to get anything from Warner Bros. related to their comic book movie franchises which includes the upcoming Man of Steel, and the hopeful Justice League movie and Batman reboot.
That's really no surprise considering how their direct competition, Marvel Studios, is moving full steam ahead.
As we've previously heard, the future of WB DC Comics movies seems to depend on how well the Man of Steel does at the box office.
We know that Henry Cavill has signed on to a three-picture-deal, but what about the other actors?
Laurence Fishburne, who plays Perry White in the Man of Steel, was asked just that. Is he on board for "Man of Steel 2."
"No, not yet, not yet, not yet,” Fisburne says, speaking to QMI Agency in Toronto, Canoe.ca reports. “I mean, we have to see how the film’s gonna do, right?”
While we wait until June to receive word on how successful Man of Steel is, Fishburne continues with mention that his role is only minimal compared to Henry Cavill as Superman.
"It’s a much bigger canvas than that,” he says. “My particular color on the canvas is minimal. It’s really an origin story, Man of Steel … the focus is his origins.”
Man of Steel opens June 14th in IMAX 3D directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Michael Shannon as Zod.
