Kyle MacLachlan Joins Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It's learned that Kyle MacLachlan has joined the second season of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

TV Line has it the actor will actually play the father to Skye.

As fans of the series know, Skye was orphaned at a young age, with many questions surrounding her origins. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents were involved with Skye from an early age, and she is also classified as an "0-8-4." In addition, her body was able to accept the transfusion from the blue alien, and the end of the season finale revealed Centipede‚Äôs Raina approaching a mysterious figure, presenting a photo of Skye and saying, "I found your daughter."

It's said Kyle MacLachlan, known for Twin Peaks and Desperate Housewives, will be a recurring character on the series.

There are many theories as to who Sky really is, with our own stating Skye might be an Inhuman.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 returns September 23rd at 9pm ET on ABC.
