Kevin Tanski in The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Gotham PD Image

1776 Friend of Cosmic Book News, Kevin Tanski, is featured in The Dark Knight Rises as a member of the Gotham Police Department.

Tanski, no stranger to law enforcement, also serves as a police officer in his hometown set in Western, NY.

When the casting call went out for over 1000 extras in NYC, Kevin answered director Christopher Nolan's call.

With his background as a police officer, in addition to martial arts and professional wrestling ("Tank" Tanski), Kevin was chosen to portray one of only a handful of Gotham's finest that featured the yellow Police reflective traffic vest.

"It was an eye opening experience being exposed to the professional atmosphere," Tanski said in regards to how director Christopher Nolan and the assistant directors coordinated the events. "Just being on the set around the equipment, props and actors was a dream come true."

Tanski also has a role in the upcoming sci-fi alien film, Ombis, from Deftone Pictures Studios which is currently in production.
