Kevin Smith Seen Ben Affleck's New Costume For Batman Vs. Superman: Might Not Be Black
We get possibly clue #2 for Ben Affleck's new costume in Batman Vs. Superman as Kevin Smith lets it be known he has seen the new suit, and in doing so reveals it isn't black armor.
Kevin Smith offered the following on his latest podcast:
I saw the Batman costume. More than that I saw a picture of him (Affleck) in the costume. Now, I don't want to give anything away 'cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this, I instantly bear hugged him (Snyder). You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before, and for a comic book fan it was mind bending. I was like 'Get out of here, only you have enough power to pull this off.' Because everyone always like does this Matrix/X-Men black armor...It was fantastic. I'm already a flag waver for this movie, but the costume, it blew my mind. I think everyone is just gonna be like 'Holy ****!' It's its own thing, man. It's like we haven't been down this path at all. I was so elated....Even the hardest core “**** all this” person will be like 'alright, I'm ready.'
We see Kevin Smith mentions the new Ben Affleck Batman suit will not be black armor, which is what Christopher Nolan used for his Batman.
Zack Snyder recent commissioned Batman Vs. Superman art for a charity drive where Batman was featured in blue and grey. Interestingly enough I was just at Target and it looks like the latest Batman toyline also has the Dark Knight in blue and grey. One more possibly related factor is that Beware The Batman has seemingly been cancelled which featured the black suit.
"Batman Vs. Superman:" has a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
