Kevin Smith takes to the air waves in an attempt to calm the masses about the new Superior Spider-Man.

Recently, Peter Parker has seemingly perished with an all-new Superior Spider-Man taking form -- Doc Ock!

In the following video, Kevin Smith offers his thoughts on comic book character deaths and says aside from a couple that have to stick (such as Ben Parker and Thomas and Martha Wayne), the deaths can eventually be reversed.

Smith also says that Spider-Man will be back in a year's time or so and offers that fans should still read Dan Slott's story as it's just all part of the middle act. He says comics really have no beginning anymore and never have an ending, so this "death" of Peter Parker is just another part of the storyline.

Regarding all the fans out there that refuse to read Superior Spider-Man, Smith calls them a dork and says they could use that energy for better things -- such as even creating new comic book characters.
