Kevin Feige Talks James Spader & Ultron For The Avengers 2
Marvel is set to show off a preview for their upcoming slate of movies this coming Tuesday with the ABC special "Marvel Studios: Assembling A Universe."
What about The Avengers 2 as only a few scenes have been shot featuring the Hulk in South Africa?
Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige lets it be known that while they are set to resume shooting in a week and a half, there will still be some great stuff.
"They're advertising it as a first look, and that is an honest statement," Feige told Movies.com. "We don't start filming for another week and a half, so you're not going to have a lot of first-unit footage because it doesn't exist yet. But you certainly get more than just a peek at some of the new fun things we have in store."
Feige also gave an update about the use of Ultron in The Avengers 2 stating it's not going to be just some robot, but James Spader will be giving the villain some personality.
"Also our bad guy is great. I think people are going to very, very excited to see what we're doing with the voice that Joss [Whedon] is bringing to life with James Spader for Ultron. We love Ultron from the comics, and have always loved Ultron, and at no point do we want him to just be a robot. We want him to have an extreme personality and attitude, and James Spader is doing an unbelievable job. Again, for us it's always about subverting expectations. Whenever you think you know what's coming next, we surprise people or deliver it in a slightly unexpected way. And Spader is doing that with Mr. Ultron."
Tune into ABC at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 18 to see "Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe."
"The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" hits May 1, 2015 directed by Joss Whedon starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeh Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver with James Spader as Ultron.
