Karen Gillan Rumored To Be Angela In Guardians of the Galaxy Movie
Good luck to James Gunn if the movie is following the latest Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel comic book.
That's right, the character is not even an official Marvel Comics character.
At least not yet, as Angela first appeared in the Image Comics comic book, Spawn, that saw a nasty lawsuit ensue over the rights between creators Todd McFarlane and Neil Gaiman.
Well, the two have worked things out and Neil Gaiman has sold Angela to Marvel Comics, thought in exchange for Gaiman to write Marvelman.
Angela is now set to first appear in Age of Ultron #10, a storyline written years ago, and next will be featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy comic book co-written by Gaiman himself.
A user at the NeoFAG forums posted the following article from an apparent UK newspaper that states Karen Gillan will be playing Angela.
Of course, the paper could be way off or one of the UK tabloids notorious for their nonsense.
Still, even though the current Guardians comic isn't any good, hopefully James Gunn can pull something spectacular off, and Gillan is always an asset wherever she lands.
The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer and Zoe Saldana as Gamora.
Also rumored for the movie are Michael Rooker, Lee Pace, Ophelia Lovibond, Enzo Cilenti, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close and Benicio Del Toro.
