Josh Whedon Does Rewrites For Thor 2
It's learned that Joss Whedon was flown in to London to do rewrites on Thor 2 for a few scenes.
Alan Taylor, director of Thor 2, tells SFX Magazine that Marvel Studios flew Whedon in to help out with a particulary troublesome scene. While there, Taylor also asked Whedon to help out with a couple others.
This isn't the first we've heard of Thor 2 getting some additional help as previously it became known that Marvel Studios wanted more Tom Hiddleston Loki with Alan Taylor have to conduct reshoots in Miami.
Hopefully it all makes for a better movie when Thor 2 debuts this November.
Check out what Alan Taylor had to say about Joss Whedon helping out Thor 2. Whedon does happen to be consulting on all the movies and TV series, in addition to directing The Avengers 2.
Joss came in to save our lives a couple of times. We had a major scene that was not working on the page at all in London, and he basically got airlifted in, like a SWAT team or something. He came down, rewrote the scene, and before he got back to his plans I sort of grabbed him and said, 'And this scene and this scene?' And he rewrote two other scenes that I thought had problems. Then finally we let go of him, he took off again, and we shot the scenes; and they were just much better and much lighter on their feet. Much more fun, much more surprising than what we had been trying to do.
