Jock Writing & Drawing Futuristic Cosmic Wolverine Tale

Body

The popular artist Jock will be writing and drawing a new arc for Savage Wolverine which is described as a futuristic sci-fi tale.

Starting with September's issue #9, Jock will put Wolverine in "the far-flung future" for three issues where the mutie has crash-landed on an alien planet and must adapt to the environment.

"Logan has the power of regeneration as we know, but he'd only ever be able to regenerate his own cells," Jock explained to USA Today. "So what if thousands, maybe even millions of years in the future, the world around him has continued to evolve, and he's left literally, a Neanderthal man?

"He always chose to be the outsider, but now he has no choice. He doesn't fit in," Jock said.

It's stated that Wolverine will be dealing with the weird world he has found himself in as well as the alien beasts living there.

Jock wants to take Wolverine back to his roots with the story.

"I wanted to show Wolverine at his most primitive and basic, and get to what makes him tick. He's a constant, while the world around him changes,"  Jock said.
