Jason Momoa Said To Be Drax In Guardians of the Galaxy Movie

Body

5672 We may have our Drax the Destroyer for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie as it's being said that Jason Momoa of Conan and Game of Thrones fame has been offered the part and is in negotiations.

We first head mention of Momoa's involvement from an article from CBM - that has been taken down for some reason -  but we have the gist of that here.

Now, Latino Review says they have the scoop, and that Jason Momoa had such a good screen test that Marvel Studios offered Momoa the part of Drax, but that Momoa's people counter-offered.

If true, Jason Momoa would join the likes of Chris Pratt, who has been cast in the lead as Star-Lord, Peter Quill.

Update: A reporter for The Hollywood reporter is saying this isn't true, that Momoa just tested. Via Twitter:

Clarity Alert: My sources are telling me Jason Momoa TESTED for Drax the Destroyer/GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY but at this time has NO offer.

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie opens August 1, 2014 directed by James Gunn and is currently in production with filming set to begin in June.
