James Robinson and Phillip Tan Reboot He-Man - From DC Comics!

Body

1284 James Robison and Phillip Tan have the power of Grayskull!

That's right, the iconic muscle-bound hero from our youths is coming to DC Comics this July in an all-new story!

"He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe" will be a six-issue series, written by James Robinson, with pencils by Phillip Tan, and inks from Ruy Jose.

The story will see the evil Skeletor — stand triumphant!

The series will start with Skeletor having won a major battle and ruling Eternia!

Adam, aka He-Man, and the rest of the Masters, will have no memory of their prior heroic deeds. The former Prince Of Eternia will be a simple woodsman, haunted by dreams of a heroic warrior, wielding a powerful sword in battle.

He is found by the Sorceress who tells him all is not as it should be! Adam is supposed to be Eternia's champion, and with that, he sets off to find and awaken the other Masters of the Universe.

1285

And just in time for He-Man's 30th Anniversary as well!

As a kid, I was a huge fan of He-Man, which came out before Transformers G1 and G.I. Joe, I believe.

Funny story: A few years ago I was out at a bar, and a friend I haven't seen in years (since Highschool) asked me if I ever had a letter published in He-Man Magazine. He was cleaning out his parents' attic and found his old issues. I didn't recall, but I hunted down the issue — and sure enough, it was there! It said, "I like when you say 'By the power of Grayskull!'"

He-Man!
