Iron Man 3 "Caged Heat" Casting Extras Update

Body

1207 About a week ago we learned casting call information and details for both Iron Man 3 and Thor 2.

Story details as well as production dates were given.

Now, the casting company for Iron Man 3, aka "Caged Heat," has set up a Facebook page for those interested in keeping track.

Why keep track? Because Iron Man 3 requires 1000 extras for filming in Wilmington, NC!

The casting call for Iron Man 3 should officially be announced soon with a date to be determined. Apparently the original date conflicted with a festival in Wilmington.

From the previous released information we know they are looking for doubles and stand-ins for the film's stars — and more, which include Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.

The casting company, Tona B. Dahlquist Casting, also notes that if you signed up with any other agency that stated they were casting the film — your files will not be in their system. They will have their own e-mail submission form online soon, with an announcement expected.

Note: "Caged Heat" is the working title for Iron Man 3 ("working title" being the codename studios give to their movies).

Iron Man 3 hits theaters May 3rd, 2013, directed by Shane Black, starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
