Inhumans Motion-Comic Debuts In April; Foreshadowing New Movie?

Perhaps foreshadowing a live-action film, this April will see a new animated motion-comic hitting the shelves with Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee's Marvel Knights Inhumans adaptation of their 1998-1999 comic book series.

Recent years has seen Marvel put out a number of animated movies that could be looked at as a testing ground for their live-action counterparts, as an Iron Man Extremis motion-comic was also released, and Stan Lee did say an Inhumans movie is in the works (in addition to Doctor Strange and Black Panther).

It could be that Inhumans will be part of Marvel Studios Phase 3 plans, much the same way the Ant-Man Movie and the Doctor Strange movie are.

Marvel Knights Inhumans DVD has a April 23, 2013 release at a suggested retail price of $14.97.

Synopsis
The Inhumans have always been one of Marvel's most enduring oddities. A race of genetic outsiders, they live secluded in their island kingdom of Attilan, preferring not to mix with the outside world. Even stranger, their genetic mutations are self-endowed; each Inhuman, as a coming-of-age ritual, endures exposure to the Terrigen Mists, a strange substance that imparts unearthly powers--some extraordinary, some monstrous.

But now the kingdom of Attilan is under attack from without and within. Can the Royal Family, led by Black Bolt, repel the foreign invaders who blast at their outer defenses, as well as the internal threat of Black Bolt's insane brother, Maximus the Mad?

This popular series takes a classic Marvel cast of characters, and infuses it with a modern sensibility that includes international politics and an awareness of class systems. Dark and grimly compelling, the "Inhumans" is one story that won't be forgotten any time soon.

Bonus Features Include:
A Look Back At The Inhumans with Eisner Award-winning writer Paul Jenkins, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada and Supervising Producer Kalia Cheng.

Total Feature Running Time: +/– 132 minutes
