Hulk's Buddy Korg Featured In New Thor 2 Trailer

I recall coming out of Comic-Con the description for the Thor 2 footage included mention that Thor smashed a rock giant to pieces.

Now we all get to see that ourselves in the latest Thor 2 trailer, but comic books fans should recognize that rock giant to be a member of the Stone Men of Saturn aka the Kronans.

Fans of the Incredible Hulk will recognize Korg, a member of the War Bound, from Greg Pak's stellar run on the series; especially from the Planet Hulk and World War Hulk days.

What's cool about Korg is that he was inspired by Thor's origin and was also retconned into an earlier issue of Hulk where he was a part of the stone creatures Thor fought back in a 1963 issue of Journey Into Mystery.

Obviously this might not be "The Korg," but a close relative nonetheless.
