Hugh Jackman Diagnosed With Skin Cancer
Hugh Jackman has let it be known that he has been diagnosed with the most common form off all the cancers, basil cell carcinoma.
Jackman posted on Instagram that his wife told him to go to the doctor to get a mark on his nose checked, with it confirmed being cancer.
"Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!" Jackman said.
Jackman, 45-years-old, is the star of the recent The Wolverine and the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past movie.
Basil cell carcinoma is a form of skin cancer that usually doesn't spread or is considered life threatening and is said to be usually caused by exposure to ultra-violet light (sunlight). If not caught early, the skin cancer can be disfiguring. Cure rates for basic cell carcinoma are around 98 percent or higher.
