One thing Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is sorely lacking in is the superhero department.

It is Marvel, right?

Well, Clark Gregg has extended an invite to Paul Rudd and Ant-Man as the actor has let it be known he is a big fan and would like to see Ant-Man appear on Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"What I love most about the movies from Iron Man to The Avengers is the sense of humor, and to have someone in the world who's going to really slam the not taking himself too seriously component out of the park is perfect," Gregg told Zap2It." I hope [Rudd] does a lot of films with them and he comes onto our show."

Paul Rudd was recently announced to star in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man which has a July 31, 2015 release.

Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on ABC with the second half of the season dealing with the death and return of Agent Coulson following The Avengers.
