Hiddleston in The Avengers (2012) Still A Possibility

picLast Saturday we reported that Tom Hiddleston might not be portraying Loki in the Joss Whedon directed The Avengers.

We offered up some possibilities, to the delight of our readers(!), and also stated that quite possibly Hiddleston just wasn't told yet.

Or quite simply Hiddleston isn't saying.

In in interview with, Hiddleston was asked about playing in more Marvel movies. The actor stated he signed on for five - but they were "unspecified."

"When I signed my contract, I signed to play Loki in five more Marvel movies, but they were unspecified. So, if there will be more movies or not remains to be seen, but I like the idea of Loki turning up in the shadows when people least expect him, but you never know these things, the world changes and the things change, but I feel like I know who Loki is, so I wouldn’t mind, " stated Hiddleston.

I would assume at least three Thor movies most likely, which would leave two - so The Avengers could still be a contender.

Thor hammers into theaters May 6th 2011, directed by Kenneth Branagh starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.

If you can't wait for the movie, script spoilers have been leaked!
