Harrison Ford Said To Be Officially On Board Star Wars Episode VII; Casting Call Announced
Though Disney has yet to officially announce any of the original members, we get another - perhaps - confirmation regarding the return of Harrison Ford to Star Wars.
And we also get a casting call for the movie as well.
FeatureFilmCasting has a casting call up for Star Wars Episode VII which states that Harrison Ford is "the first actor officially on board." It's also said that Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill have been officially cast.
They also state filming will begin this Summer in a quarry overlooking the Bluewater Complex not far from London, with other locations including Los Angeles and New Mexico.
In addition to Episodes VII, VIII and IX, it also mentioned that standalone movies with a young Han Solo, Boba Fett and Yoda are being developed over the next six years.
While not an official studio outlet, I believe, and all of the above has been mentioned or rumored at one time, Feature Film Casting regularly posts studios casting call announcements, and previously stated Jamie Foxx was confirmed as Electro for Amazing Spider-Man 2 with the working title "London Calling" revealed.
It should also be noted that Carrie Fisher recently confirmed she was returning only to have her reps retract the statement, with the latest being that Disney CEO Bob Iger said the originals were still in talks and they were waiting for the best time to announce.
Star Wars Episode VII has a 2015 release date directed by J.J. Abrams.
