Chris Pratt will be seen as Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie next August, and now it's learned that Universal is eyeing the actor for the lead role in Jurassic World.

The Wrap has learned Chris Pratt is in early discussions to star in Jurassic World with Universal Studios. It's noted that his current TV gig, Parks and Recreation, could be an issue; however, things did work out for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Josh Brolin was said to be up for the lead as well, but talks apparently didn't work out.

Colin Trevorrow is directing Jurassic World which has a June 12, 2015 release with Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3) attached. Amazing Spider-Man's Irrfan Khan is reportedly being sought for a role as well.
