Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Starts Filming This Summer In London
For those wondering who will play their favorite Marvel Cosmic characters on the big screen in the James Gunn directed Guardians of the Galaxy movie, you will probably not have to wait long to find out as the movie is said to start filming this Summer in London.
According to ScreenDaily, the Guardians of the Galaxy movie will film at the same place of Thor 2, in London at Pinewood-Shepperton Studios.
Apparently the UK offers big tax breaks with Pinewood-Shepperton Studios being a major draw, as in addition to Thor 2, Maleficent and Jack Ryan filmed there with the new Muppets movie and Disney's Cinderella upcoming.
If the news is indeed true, we should be getting more on the cast of the Guardians, with members including - so far - Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
For Peter Quill, the leader of the Guardians, a number of names have been mentioned, so many that it's currently in double digits.
A couple names have been thrown out for Drax as well; we can assume CGI for Rocket Raccoon and Groot, but nothing as-of-yet has been mentioned regarding the most dangerous woman in the Universe, Gamora.
It's also said that Thanos, the alien from the mid-credit scene in The Avengers, will play the part of the villain and go on to have a role in The Avengers 2 as well.

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release date and is directed by James Gunn.
