Guardians of the Galaxy Movie: Lee Pace Says The Script Is Great

Body

4536 Lee Pace was one of the eight actors rumored to be auditioning for the role of Peter Quill, Star-Lord, in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Turns out it's true as Pace tells MTV that he will go in to audition for Star-Lord on Monday.

"I go in on Monday to meet them all and audition for it, so wish me luck," Pace told MTV. "I'm very excited about it. The script is great. The character is a lot of fun."

Pace isn't going in empty handed as he says he's done some reading up on Star-Lord.

"I have been [reading up on Star-Lord]," he said. "You want to know what you're doing. The character is a lot of fun. I hope it works out."

MTV presses the actor for what this could mean in relation to multi-picture deals and The Avengers 2, but Pace says he first has to get the part.

The other seven actors said to be up for the role include Eddie Redmayne, Joel Edgerton (Warrior, Zero Dark Thirty), Boardwalk Empireā€˜s Jack Huston, Cloud Atlas' Jim Sturgess, Lee Pace (Lincoln, The Hobbit),  Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom), Tron: The Legacy's Garrett Hedlund and X-Men's James Marsden.
