Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Director James Gunn Talks Cast and More At MorrisonCon

3398 James Gunn was a panelist at the recent MorrisonCon held in Las Vegas where the Guardians of the Galaxy movie director briefly mentioned the upcoming cosmic movie.

Gunn starts off by letting it be known the comic book movies he would like to direct and goes on to say he can't talk about the movie under fear of death, but that they could do the movie with unknowns. In addition, Gunn notes how Guardians of the Galaxy fans have been tweeting up a cosmic storm about their favorite Guardians of the Galaxy characters.

"There's only four comics properties that ever interested me in turning them into movies," Gunn said, as reported by CBR. "One was 'We3.' The others were 'Thunderbolts,' 'Hit Monkey'...and 'Guardians Of The Galaxy.' "

Gunn was asked about who would voice/play Rocket Raccoon. Recently, Michael Rooker came out and stated he would like to voice Rocket, with Gunn really not giving away much.

"There's such a long, long list for all our casting choices, we've barely begun," Gunn said.

3399 Gunn then goes on to talk about using unknowns if they wanted to (perhaps revealing that they are not?).

"It's not cast-dependent. We could make the movie with unknowns if we wanted to. I can't talk too much about this, because Marvel will kill me!" he said.

Regarding the cast, seems the Marvel Cosmic fans have been pretty vocal with James Gunn, especially on Twitter, where the director notes he's been getting tweeted to by the hour.

"I'm on Twitter and every hour I get suggestions about things I must do for 'Guardians!'"
