Glenn Close Plays Nova Prime Rael In Guardians of the Galaxy

Body

With yesterday's image and plot reveal of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it looks if someone working Marvel PR had a bit too much bubbly.

Not only was the first cast image unfinished, but a description for Glenn Close's character was wrong.

The released synopsis reads Close is playing Commander Rael, but her actual title is Nova Prime Rael (leader of the Nova Corps).

Interestingly enough, if you were a fan of the Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (DnA) 2007 Marvel Comics Nova comic book, Rael should sound familair. Irani Rael was a member of DnA's Nova Corps.

James Gunn took to his Facebook to clear things up:

And Glenn Close's character's name in the film is Nova Prima Rael. I don't know where they got this 'Commander' stuff from.
