Gary Oldman: The Dark Night Rises tops The Dark Knight

picGary Oldman, who plays Commisioner Gordon, chats with Absolute Radio about The Dark Knight Rises at the 2011 Empire Awards and tells us a few interesting details.

Christopher Nolan has kept this movie tightly under wraps - even, reportedly, leaking false info to various internet sites to throw fans off.

Oldman states that the production office is kept under high security with numerous locks and keys, and that Nolan hasn't included the ending in the script. Oldman states Nolan verbally tells them what happens as not to let spoilers leak on the internet.

Oldman is working with Tom Hardy on Tinker Tailor before TDKR, and regarding Hardy's character Bane and Commissioner Gordon, Oldman says that he has, "Quite a bit to do with Tom in this one."

Oldman goes on to say how fabulous the story is, when asked how it could top the Dark Knight, and states that Nolan ties TDKR into the first one by "sort of bringing this one back around."

"It's a really great story. Great script. He's [Christopher Nolan] outdone himself from the 'Dark Knight.' It's fantastic," said Oldman.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christan Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle.
