NBC has ordered a pilot episode for a new futuristic robot TV series called Tin Man.

No relation to Wizard Of Oz, but Tin Man is described by Deadline as: "a psychological crime thriller that focuses on a fugitive robot accused of first degree murder, who may hold the key to the future of human evolution, and the young female public defender forced to fight for his cause."

Ehren Kruger is behind the Tin Man series, who is known for writing credits on the Transformers movies, The Brothers Grimm, The Ring and Scream 3.

John Glenn, Daniel Bobker and Kruger will serve as executive producers.
