The Flash TV Series Casts Two More; Possibly Professor Zoom & Killer Frost

A couple days ago saw Detective West cast for The Flash TV series, and now two more roles have been filled.

Deadline reports that Rick Gosnett has been cast as Detective Eddie Thawne with Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow.

The role of Detective Thawne is said to be a mysterious one as the character recently transferred to Central City and has a shadowy past who harbors a dark secret. Comic fans will note the resemblance in last name to Professor Zoom, Eobard Thawne.

Caitlin Snow is described as a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs. Comic fans will again note that the character is known as Killer Frost.

Gosnett is known for Dr. Wes Maxfield on the Vampire Diaries; Panabaker has appeared in Necessary Roughness, Piranha 3DD, and Friday the 13th.

The Flash TV series looks to begin filming soon with an unannounced premiere date on the CW.  Geoff Johns wrote the pilot with Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. David Nutter is directing the pilot.

Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen aka The Flash with the series spinning out of recent episodes Arrow.
