Firestorm May Appear In CW’s “Arrow” - and Batman?!

So far everything that has been coming out of the CW regarding Arrow has looked and sounded really good.

The actor playing Oliver Queen, Stephen Amell, seems super psyched, we are getting characters like China White, Deathstroke and Deadshot as well, and now we are even hearing that Firestorm - and maybe even Batman - will be appearing.

Regarding Firestorm...

Emily Bett Rickards has been cast in the role of Felicity Smoak, known to Firestorm fans as the stepmother of Ronnie Raymond — "one half" of Firestorm. Of course with Smoak being involved - and said to be reoccurring - it's not too hard to think some sort of Firestorm appearance or even mention might be a part of Arrow. (Via Kabookit)

Now for Batman.

While Smallville fans never got to see Batman in their favorite TV super show - though they eventually do in the comic book - Bruce Wayne and company may have a chance of appearing in Arrow.

The reason that there was no Batman in Smallville was simply because of Christopher Nolan and his Dark Knight Trilogy of movies. But now that they are finished, the Batman does have a shot of appearing on TV.

"Oh, my hope is that we can use him at some point. I think that plagued the Smallville showrunners more than it plagues us because, obviously, the Dark Knight Trilogy is over," Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim told IGN. "They're not available to us yet. My hope is that they'll be available to us at some point. That would be awesome. No question, that would be absolutely awesome. But I don't know. That's above my pay grade."

And in the same interview with IGN, Guggenheim hints at more DC Comics superheroes.

"I would say, 'Probably.' One of the things we want to do is roll the show out at the right pace. For the most part, I think we've taken the philosophy that things are happening sooner rather than later. I always feel like every time we get the note from the network, 'Is this happening too soon?,' I feel like we're on the right track. I know as a viewer myself, I'm impatient. I want to see stuff. We're not going to make the audience wait to see characters, plot twists, revelations. I think running out of great characters and great moments is a quality problem to have, and I just want to have them."

Arrow debuts on the CW Wednesday, October 10th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
