Exclusive Rumor: Liam Neeson and Michael Fassbender Being Looked at for Mark Millar's Nemesis Movie

Body

561 I've received some info on the movie version of Mark Millar's Nemesis from a purported source within the industry.

A couple days ago Joe Carnahan mentioned that he is currently in talks with Mark Millar about the Nemesis movie. Carnahan even stated that Liam Neeson would make a great Blake Morrow.

I'm told:

Thanks to Joe Carnahan building interest in the movie, the studio are once again ramping up production especially after the enthusiastic fan response.

They ARE considering Liam Neeson and are now in early talks with Michael Fassbender for Nemesis.

However, X-Men: First Class 2 and Neeson's ongoing knee problems may mean it won't go into production until late 2013.

They are VERY keen on Fassbender though.

Nemesis is the story about a supervillain bent on fullfilling his mother's last dying request of revenge against the police officer, Blake Morrow, responsible for his father's suicidal death. His quest leads him to the criminal underworld, with Nemesis eventually responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands.

Again, bear in mind I can't corroborate the info.
