Exclusive: David Goyer To Rewrite Superman For Justice League Movie; Zack Snyder Being Offered Director's Chair
Our DC Entertainment source has given us a bit of an update on some earlier information we received.
A couple days ago we were told that Man of Steel writer David Goyer is polishing Will Beall's Justice League movie script.
We are now told the reason.
• Our source says that Will Beall's Justice League movie script was written in such a way that it didn't include the knowledge of a Cinematic Universe; that Beall's draft isn't reflected of Henry Cavill's portrayal of the character from Man of Steel as it was written.
• David Goyer will be rewriting Superman's arc in the script.
• Our source also now tells us that Warner Bros. is preparing to offer a lucrative package to Zack Snyder to direct Justice League for a 2015/16 release; Shortly before or after Man of Steel's release is an expected time of OFFICIAL announcement.
This information comes after the recent news that said the Justice League movie is dependent on the Man of Steel success.
Also, Zack Snyder previously stated that his Man of Steel was going to have nothing to do with the Justice League movie, that it would be "it's own thing," but only recently seemed to change his tune which included the mention that Henry Cavill is signed on for three movies.
In addition to Snyder, we were also told Matthew Vaughn, Rian Johson, Sam Mendes, and Gary Ross were wanted, and that Snyder would at least be involved on Justice League in some sort of consulting or producing role.
David Goyer recently refused to comment on the Justice League movie as well.
