Exclusive: Batman's Origin In Man Of Steel Sequel

Our DC Entertainment source has provided Cosmic Book News with some tidbits surrounding how Batman's origins will be handled in the Man of Steel sequel.

The backstory for Batman will be hinted at, and at this stage of the script, is shown in flashbacks (not a significant portion of the film, however, merely a couple of scenes with one being Bruce's parents' death).

Batman's backstory will be close to the comic books, similar or a mix of Batman: Year One and Batman: Earth One and other origin runs; however, none of this will show how this Batman is fully formed.

Our DC Entertainment source previously told us Mark Strong was up for Lex Luthor, no Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman and that Timothy Dalton is being eyed for Alfred.

The sequel to "Man of Steel" goes into production next year for a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
