Evil Dead 2013 To Open A Week Earlier

Body

The Evil Dead remake will tear our soul apart a week earlier as Bruce Campbell announced the news via his Twitter.

The world cannot wait. The Evil Dead remake launches one week earlier! 4/5/13. You demanded it - you got it!

Original director Sam Raimi is also on as producer, and the movie recently was awarded an R-Rating after having initially been given an NC-17 rating from the MPAA; however, they cleaned it up a bit so Evil Dead could be shown in theaters nationwide.

The new Evil Dead now has an April 5, 2013 release date directed by Fede Alvarez and stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Elizabeth Blackmore.

Synopsis:

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
