Doctor Who Series 8 To Premiere In Movie Theaters

Body

Doctor Who returns to the big screen for the third time with the series 8 premiere.

The BBC previously held movie screenings for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary and for the David Tennant two-part special.

Now the BBC has announced the Doctor Who Series 8 premiere featuring Peter Capaldi will screen worldwide in movie theaters on August 23rd.

"Last November the Doctor didn't just conquer the world on television, he did it in the cinemas too," Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat said in a statement. "And like the show-off he is, he can't resist another go - one taste of the silver screen is never enough. On August 23rd the new Doctor will begin his new adventures on BBC One and in cinemas all over the world. Movie-land beware - Capaldi is coming to get you!"

Look for more information and ticket sales to be released soon.
