Doctor Strange is off to a great start at the box office as it opened last night with advanced screenings.

It's reported Doctor Strange netted $9.4 million from those Thursday night advance screenings, which bests Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 2, Ant-Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.

Doctor Strange also has a current international haul of $132.9 million.

Estimates for Doctor Strange's opening U.S. weekend range anywhere from $70 million to even as high as $90+ million.

Doctor Strange also has a 90% positive rating over at Rotten Tomatoes.

I saw Doctor Strange last night and felt it was a good Marvel flick. Definitely worth seeing.

"Doctor Strange" has a November 4, 2016 release directed by Scott Derrickson starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.

Synopsis:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
