Detective Gordon Gotham TV Pilot Gets Danny Cannon As Director

The Jim Gordon "Gotham" TV series set for Fox now has a director for its pilot episode with Danny Cannon.

Deadline announced the news.

Danny Cannon is known for directing CSI, The Tomorrow People, Nikita, and the 1995 Judge Dredd movie.

"Gotham" is described as featuring Detective James Gordon before he met Batman, who will not appear in the series, as well as the villains that Gotham is famous for.

Gary Oldman most recently portrayed Gordon in the Christopher Nolan Batman movies, and no actor has been named as-of-yet for Batman Vs. Superman.

Warner Bros. has a number of TV series in development including HourmanConstantine, and The Flash which will join Arrow already in its second season.
