Potential spoilers follow for Batman Vs. Superman.

Zack Snyder isn't shying away from the serious and dark approach depicted in Man of Steel as - count 'em - there is not one, not two, but three funeral-esque scenes (so far) in the movie.

Rabid fans on Twitter have been posting set images of Batman Vs. Superman from the Michigan set, and now the Illinois set as well, which show Zack Snyder is going to visit the graves of Pa Kent and Thomas and Martha Wayne. A while back also saw a potentially huge spoiler scene hit the net regarding what may be a major character's death.

Back in June saw Batman Vs. Superman set images of what looks to be a funeral with a long line of people giving their respects.

About a week ago then saw set images of the Wayne family graveyard, with it speculated to be a flashback scene of some sort.

Most recently, coming out of the Yorkville, Illinois set, saw Batman Vs. Superman set images of Pa Kent's grave with mention that Ben Affleck was spotted filming as Bruce Wayne in what was described as "funeral" clothes.

Perhaps Batman and Superman eventually come to the realization they share a common bond -  the death of their parents (Superman even more so with his Kryptonian parents dead as well) - and settle their differences.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
