DC's Vertigo Comics iZombie Coming To The CW

Body

Add one more DC Comics comic book series coming to TV with iZombie, the Vertigo comic from Chris Roberson and Mike Allred.

Deadline reports the CW is adapting iZombie with Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero of Veronica Mars fame.

The new iZombie series is described as a supernatural crime procedural that centers on a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. With each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories, and with the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.

iZombie would be the sixth DC Comics title adapted for TV joining Arrow and the currently in-development series for The Flash, Gotham (Fox), Constantine (NBC) and Hourman.

Vertigo is an imprint of DC Comics unrelated to the rest of the DC Universe (meaning it doesn't crossover with the likes of Batman, Superman etc).
