DC TV & Movie Confirmed Separate Universes: Wenworth Miller Cast As Captain Cold For The Flash
At the Television Critics Association press tour today, it has been announced that Wenworth Miller has been cast as Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, for The Flash TV series, with Miller first appearing in the fourth episode.
Miller is known for the Resident Evil movies and the Prison Break television series.
Geoff Johns, DC's Chief Creative Officer and executive producer, also offered the that The Flash will be their most faithful adaptation to date.
"We've incorporated almost everything from the mythology into it and added a whole new backstory," Johns said. "[The Flash] is probably the most faithful DC adaptation ever."
The bad news for fans that were looking forward to seeing either Stephen Amell or Grant Gustin on the big screen side-by-side Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman or Justice League is that it isn't going to happen.
Johns told reporters that the DC movie and TV universes "are separate worlds."
