Dawn of the Planet of The Apes Gets Keri Russell

5984 Matt Reeves has cast the female lead for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with Keri Russell.

Russell joins recent cast additions including Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Kodi-Smit McPhee and Andy Serkis.

No details are known about her character, but the movie is said to take place 15 years after the events of the first movie with the humans and apes split into factions.

Gary Oldman plays the leader of the humans.

Keri Russell recently starred in Dark Skies as well as was featured on The Americans TV series and has history with director Matt Reeves in the show, Felicity.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has a May 23, 2014 release.
