The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Prologue Official; Gets PG-13 Rating

New ratings were issued this week from the MPAA with the rumored prologue for The Dark Knight Rises getting a PG-13 rating.

The prologue is supposed to debut with the December 16th 70MM IMAX premiere of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
Shortly after the rumor hit the net, the official blog for AMC movies announced the prologue, but just as quickly as it was up -- it was taken down.
In addition, it has been also said that the second official trailer will be released the same week attached to Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows.
At least with the MPAA giving it a rating we now know it is "official."
What I am hoping is that the prologue will be released at ALL IMAX theaters as most are just equipped digitally. Only a hundred or so throughout the country are capable of showing 70MM IMAX movies.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra's al Ghul.
