The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Marion Cotillard Says She Is A Good Guy and Not Talia Al Ghul
Now this is a rather interesting development.
It's been rumored and thought for some time that Marion Cotillard was actually playing the daughter of Liam Neeson's Ra's Al Ghul, with Talia Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises.
We know officially that Marion Cotillard is playing Miranda Tate, a business woman involved with Wayne Enterprises.
In a recent interview, Marion Cotillard let it be known that she plays a small role in The Dark Knight Rises, that she doesn't play Talia Al Ghul, that her character is a good guy and stays that way through the entire movie.

Otherwise, Cotillard is coy about the picture, whose storyline has fueled pages of Internet speculation. All she'll confirm is that, contrary to some fans' belief, she does not play Talia, the vengeful daughter of Liam Neeson's character, Ra's Al Ghul (who also appeared in Batman Begins), and that she takes the role of Miranda Tate, an ecologically minded businesswoman who "is fascinated by Wayne Enterprises. They go through difficulties, and she wants to help provide the world clean energies. She's a good guy." But does she stay that way? "Yes," she insists.
Bad Guy? Good Guy? Talia Al Ghul? You decide.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra's al Ghul.
